How with her heart crushed the Shunammite
woman could say, It Is Well.
Maybe She had heard
about Elijah raising the widow of Zarephath’s son back to life. Was it too much
to think that this miracle working God would speak life to her son. She could have easily expressed anger, fear,
her hurt & longing, and yet all that comes forth is contentment and
relentless faith in a God of compassion that can make her situation WELL.
Is it well
with your soul, when your life is turned upside down because of sickness are a
tragic loss, can you reply with contentment in the midst of such a discontented society.
Is it well with your soul; is it
discontented, confused, and restless. Are you turning to alcohol, and drugs to try to drown the cryings
and longings of the soul. Nothing but God ever completely satisfies the
soul, because the soul was made for God, and without God it is restless and in
secret torment. Turn to Jesus now
and find Peace – Rest – and Wellness for your SOUL.
